LAST UPDATED 1 SEPTEMBER 2026
Punzisa is a free professional-learning platform for teachers in Zambia. We ask for as little about you as the course can run on, and we do not sell, rent or share it.
What we hold, and why
Everything the platform stores about you today is listed here. Nothing else is collected.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your NRC, date of birth, home address or phone number, and the platform has no field for any of them. We do not ask for anything about your pupils, and course exercises will tell you to use invented or anonymised examples rather than real pupil work.
There is no advertising on the platform, no advertising network, and no third-party analytics. We do not build a profile of you for marketing.
Not collected yet
The course is still being built. These will be recorded once the matching part of the platform exists, and this page will be updated before that happens:
- Which lessons you have completed
- Quiz attempts and scores
- Practical assignment and capstone submissions
- Certificates issued to you
Cookies
One cookie, and it is the one that keeps you signed in. It is essential: without it the platform cannot tell one signed-in teacher from another.
There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner — there is nothing non-essential to agree to. The typeface is served from this site rather than fetched from a font provider, so loading a page does not announce your visit to anyone else.
Who else sees it
Nobody. The platform currently sends your personal data to no third party — no analytics service, no advertising network, no email provider, no payment processor. Your data sits in the platform's own database and nowhere else. If that changes, this section changes with it, before the change goes live.
The platform is hosted, and its database is run, by infrastructure providers who necessarily store the data on their machines. They act on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Your account and enrolment stay until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in sessions expire on their own within 30 days. The counters used to limit repeated sign-in attempts expire within minutes and hold no name or email.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it.
There is no button for this yet, so it is done by email and by hand: write to hello@punzisa.com and we will confirm when it is done. Deleting your account removes your profile, your enrolment and your sessions.
Children
Punzisa is for practising and trainee teachers. It is not intended for use by children, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Contact
Questions about any of this go to hello@punzisa.com. The terms of use cover what the course is and is not.
This page describes how the platform works today. It is written in plain language rather than legal language, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Where it is wrong, the behaviour of the platform is what counts, and we will correct the page.
